Dyslexia Awareness week
Sun 13 Oct 2024Although our school is already a dyslexia aware school, we celebrated dyslexia awareness week to ensure everyone knew why we learn the way we do and raise awareness that people learn in different ways. This year’s theme was, “What’s your story?” We asked children to tell their story in the form of a comic strip. These were then collated into class comic books, which were then sold at an after-school awareness event to raise money for more learning resources to be used by all children in school. The last day of the week was also a ‘dress to impress day’. Children and staff were encouraged to dress up or reflect their personalities.

FOSTA's Easter Eggstravaganza Bingo Night
Fri 19 Apr 2024The spring term saw the return of one of our favourite events, the Easter Eggstravaganza Bingo night!
It was a huge success with parents, grandparents, carers and pupils, all enjoying a good old fashioned game of bingo.
In addition to this, there were games of 'Heads and Tails' and a raffle, with the winners walking away with a number of Easter prizes to enjoy. Every child also went home with an Easter Egg, ensuring no-one missed out.
With food on sale and a tuck shop, entry and raffle tickets, the event raised an amazing £560! Thank you so much to everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed yourselves.
The night wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of our St Andrew's family, supporting the event with donations of Easter Eggs, thank you, we are extremely grateful.
Thank you also to the teachers, parents and FOSTA's team who volunteered on the night."
