  • FOSTAs School Discos

    Wed 12 Feb 2025

Children from KS1 and KS2 had the best time at their school discos - dancing the night away, doing the limbo and eating hotdogs!

Thanks to all who attended - it was lovely to see how much fun you had (and your super dance moves)!

  • Athletics

    Tue 04 Feb 2025

A group of children from KS2 attended an Athletics event today at the Castle Leisure Centre alongside other Bury schools.

The sportsmanship shown by our team was great and they put their all into each event. They supported each other throughout and did us proud.

The children were exceptionally well-behaved and were excellent ambassadors for our school - well done!

  • KS2 Christmas Concerts

Wed 18 Dec 2024 Miss McGowan

Well done to the whole of Key Stage 2 who performed not once, but twice, in church today...and what a success it was.

We had performances of popular Christmas tunes from each class as well as a very moving performance of 'O Holy Night' by our fabulous St Andrew's choir.

Our amazing Worship Leaders lead the performance alongside our Year 6 Head Girls and Boys - thank you!

A huge thanks also to families and carers who made it along to support the children in church - the room was packed at both performances!

Christingle Candles were also made and brought along to church to be lit.

  • Forest School Christmas Parties

Tue 10 Dec 2024 Miss McGowan

This week, each class in school had their Forest School Christmas party.

Mrs Cunningham led some amazing sessions where we roasted marsh mellows on a fire, played outdoor games and made some brilliant creations in nature.

The best time was had by all as you can see!

  • Children in need

    Fri 15 Nov 2024 R Daynes

The children have had a wonderful day raising money for Children in Need. School has been full of colour, smiles and laughs.

  • Anti Bullying week!

    Mon 11 Nov 2024 R Daynes

The children have been learning all about Anti-Bullying Week. This year we have been learning all about the phrase 'CHOOSE RESPECT'. We have discussed ways to respect others as well as ourselves.

  • Remembrance Service

Mon 11 Nov 2024 Mr Daynes

Today we have had our Remembrance Service in school. We were joined by parents and carers and our amazing children put on a moving and wonderful performance.

    We will remember them.

  • Black History Month

Mon 28 Oct 2024 Mr Daynes

To celebrate Black History Month and to deepen knowledge of understanding of significant people in history who made a difference to the world we live in today, each class studied a person of importance. Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks were just a couple who were explored.

  • Mad Science Club

Mon 21 Oct 2024 Mr Daynes

Over the past half term we have ran our Mad Science club again for our KS2 children. This year there were lots of experiments that the children enjoyed including exploring light, optical illusions and making candy!

  • Guide dog fundraising!

Fri 18 Oct 2024 Mr Daynes

We had a non-uniform day in school where children donated a £1 to go towards sponsoring a guide dog puppy. Children voted between three dogs resulting in our puppy being Custard.  We will follow her journey for the next two years.
