Goodbye Mrs Havens
Thu 27 Nov 2025Today, we said a fond farewell and good luck to Mrs Havens who has been part of our school community for many years. She has worked so hard in the office and will be missed massively but we know she will be so amazing in her new role.
Thank you again!

Safer Internet Session
Tue 11 Nov 2025This afternoon, Year 5 and 6 took part in a workshop to discuss the importance of online safety and understanding how we ensure that we are keeping ourselves, and others, safe online.
We discussed how the concept of 'stranger danger' applies to our lives online as well as offline and that we should never engage with strangers online, even if they eventually start to feel like a friend. We understand that if anything ever makes us feel unsure when we are online that we seek out a trusted adult and ask for help.
Well done to Year 5 and 6 - you took part so thoughtfully and gained a lot of insight through your engagement with discussions.

Remembrance Service
Tue 11 Nov 2025This morning, we hosted our Remembrance Service in the hall. Led by our Worship Leaders, we discussed the significance of the day, gave thanks and prayers and held our minute silence. Our school choir also sang a very special song.
Thank you to all of our school family members who attended also - the hall was so full!

Mon 20 Oct 2025This morning, 6 Key Stage Two children took part in a bowling competition in Bury. They represented our school brilliantly, showing great teamwork and support for one another throughout the event.
As you can see, they returned full of pride – and rightly so – with certificates and medals to celebrate their achievements.
Well done, team!

Harvest Festival 2025
Tue 14 Oct 2025On Tuesday, we visited the church to celebrate and give thanks during our Harvest Festival.
We reflected on how much we have to be grateful for and how sharing with others can lift everyone’s spirits. Together, we sang some autumnal favourites, including Harvest Samba, Autumn Days, and Autumn Harvest. A special highlight of the service was a wonderful performance by our amazing choir!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Harvest Service, and to those who contributed to our collection of food and toiletries. Your generous donations will make a real difference, and we know our local food banks are incredibly grateful.

Holcome Hill Trip
Mon 13 Oct 2025Some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils braved the weather to walk up Holcombe Hill as part of their activities with the Sunnywood Project. They had a great time as you can see from the photos and returned to school very excited (if not a bit tired!) to tell us all about it in class!

Mad Science Club
Mon 06 Oct 2025Our Mad Science Club has started up again and pupils have been busy getting to grips with some really interesting topics such as how astronauts go about their days in space without gravity and what exactly makes slime, slime!
The children involved have raised some brilliant questions and have been using super scientific vocabulary when discussing their findings.
