Dyslexia Awareness week
Although our school is already a dyslexia aware school, we celebrated dyslexia awareness week to ensure everyone knew why we learn the way we do and raise awareness that people learn in different ways. This year’s theme was, “What’s your story?” We asked children to tell their story in the form of a comic strip. These were then collated into class comic books, which were then sold at an after-school awareness event to raise money for more learning resources to be used by all children in school. The last day of the week was also a ‘dress to impress day’. Children and staff were encouraged to dress up or reflect their personalities.
