  • Manchester Cathedral Leavers Service

Thu 15 Jun 2023 Miss McGowan

This morning, Year 6 attended a leavers service at Manchester Cathedral. Alongside other Year 6 classes from across the borough, they sang and danced to songs; took part in prayer and listened to advice, both from the Bishop and current children in Year 7.

We were really proud of how eagerly our children participated and gave their all to the service and used the time well to reflect on the journey they have been on in primary school and the journey they are about to embark on in high school.

    Well done Year 6!

  • Robinwood Trip

Fri 09 Jun 2023 Miss McGowan

This week, Year 6 visited Robinwood in Wrexham for 3 fun-filled days of activities in the Welsh sunshine!

We are so proud of how they all worked together as a team - encouraging each other when faced with new challenges and fears and generally representing our school fabulously.

Children took part in whole host of activities such as canoeing and raft building; Giant Swing; zip wire; caving and Piranha Pool to name just a few.

Well done Year 6! Have a good rest over the weekend - we are sure you will need it! :)

  • Coronation Celebrations

Fri 05 May 2023 Miss McGowan

Today the whole school took part in activities to celebrate the King's coronation this weekend. We hosted a cake sale where parents and carers were invited to enjoy a drink and a cake with their child. Thank you to all who came and/or donated cakes; it was a huge success!

In classes, we have been designing and making our own crowns, drawing portraits of King Charles and decorating cakes amongst other exciting activities. At lunch, we held classroom picnics and had afternoon tea.

  • Science Week 2023

Fri 28 Apr 2023 Miss McGowan

As part of our Science Week, the whole school participated in Mad Science's 'Spin, Pop, Bang' assembly which demonstrated various states of matter and how they can be tested. We loved it!

Throughout the week, we donned our lab coats and undertook a variety of experiments in class - creating our own hypotheses, gathering evidence to test them and collating our evidence and findings.
