Today, Year 6 took a trip to the local Bury Fusilier Museum where they were greeted at the door by a WW1 soldier, Tom. They learnt all about what it took to be a soldier back then and were able to try out and handle all of the equipment - most of which were genuine artefacts from the time! A good time was had by all!
