  • Manchester Cathedral Leavers Service

Thu 15 Jun 2023 Miss McGowan

This morning, Year 6 attended a leavers service at Manchester Cathedral. Alongside other Year 6 classes from across the borough, they sang and danced to songs; took part in prayer and listened to advice, both from the Bishop and current children in Year 7.

We were really proud of how eagerly our children participated and gave their all to the service and used the time well to reflect on the journey they have been on in primary school and the journey they are about to embark on in high school.

    Well done Year 6!

Well done - keep it up!

  • Robinwood Trip

Fri 09 Jun 2023 Miss McGowan

This week, Year 6 visited Robinwood in Wrexham for 3 fun-filled days of activities in the Welsh sunshine!

We are so proud of how they all worked together as a team - encouraging each other when faced with new challenges and fears and generally representing our school fabulously.

Children took part in whole host of activities such as canoeing and raft building; Giant Swing; zip wire; caving and Piranha Pool to name just a few.

Well done Year 6! Have a good rest over the weekend - we are sure you will need it! :)

  • A letter from King Charles

Thu 08 Jun 2023 Miss McGowan

Today, a very special letter arrived in the school post for Year 2 from King Charles III. Back in May, they sent him a letter to congratulate him on the coronation and they received a very royal reply today. Needless to say, the children (and staff) were all extremely excited!
