‘Together we love, we learn, we shine’

Computing

At St Andrew's, we believe all of our children should be highly skilled in computing, creating digitally literate young people who are able to contribute meaningfully to the ever-changing world. We try to make links between computing and other subjects, particularly maths, DT and science.

As a school, we use the ‘Purple Mash’ Computing scheme to ensure National Curriculum content coverage and clear sequencing of lessons / units. Years 1-6 follow the allocated units for their year group where concepts are regularly revisited and skills built upon. Regular opportunities are woven into our curriculum for children to be taught how to stay safe online - these are revisited every year and then as and when needed to ensure that our pupils feel confident and safe online.
